Quiz Answers
According
to the Connecting team of "experts," travelers fall into one, or
a combination, of the following five categories:
- Type A: City Slicker. Peace and quiet make you nervous. Happiness
is shopping, shows, dining, dancing, clubbing.
- Type B: Sporty Resorty. You get high on an early morning run. Happiness is a sport
in the morning, a game in the afternoon, and a sporting evening is just
fine, too.
- Type C: Country Squire. You enjoy life's refinements, simple or elegant. Arts and
culture. Happiness is a fine meal, vintage wine, a burning log, and a good
book.
- Type D: Rustic Rover. You are off to the woods atevery opportunity. Happiness is
sitting by a campfire, a fishing rod, canoe, or kayak handy.
- Type E: Happy Wanderer. You are attracted to the lure of the unknown, the call
of the wild. Happiness is somewhere out beyond the horizon.
Flexibility Results
- Inflexible:
If you selected the same letter for all five questions, you are the definitive
character for that traveler type. You are also rigid by nature and unlikely to be a happy travel companion unless you find someone with identical tastes, or at least someone who doesn't mind giving way to your interests. You could, of course, work at being more flexible, but on the other hand, if you have learned to depend on your own resources, you'll enjoy traveling solo – on your own adventurously and independently.
- Skeptical:
Three or four answers of the same type means your ways are set to that
type. You can be coaxed into trying something different, but you are likely
to sulk if you don't like the outcome.
-
Easy-going:
A mixed response in three or four categories means you are reasonable and
open to discussion. You'll change direction and go with the flow when the
need arises, but you can also dig in your heels when convinced your way
is right. You would make a good group tour leader.
- Flexible to malleable:
One answer in every category gives you top marks for flexibility. You'll
try anything once. And you'll happily go along with what others want. You
are the perfect travel companion and tour participant. For your own sake,
however, do curb a tendency to let others make every decision. If you never
assert yourself, you may later regret having missed out on seeing or doing
something that was really vital to your ideal vacation.
